Version 1.8 is a major release and includes the long awaited feature: Research and Development!

• Now players have the ability to direct tax revenue toward research projects including designing custom ships, improving ship attack/defense/speed, as well as improved building efficiency.
• During a successful planetary assault, the attacking player has the ability to steal research from the defending player.
• Other minor bug fixes.
